Born out of a friendship, that of Baldo Baldinini and Francesco Cioria, sommelier and cellar manager of the renowned San Domenico restaurant in Imola; “Sando” to his friends. The idea was to reintroduce a classic of Piedmontese tradition that enjoyed great popularity in the past: Vermouth chinato. In fact, the presence of cinchona bark gives it a stronger character and a more bitter taste than regular vermouth. A tasting experience that is inspired by the digestives of yesteryear, but does so through a new identity in full DIBALDO style.

The product
Sando Vermouth Chinato is a symphony of refined and original notes that capture the palate from the first moment. The sip is immediately full and enveloping, thanks to the red wine base from Piedmont that emerges with intensity and then meets an intriguing and complex bouquet, built on the bitter notes of cinchona bark and absinthe. An intense, winter-tinged tasting experience.

Tasting advice
Ideal to taste on its own with plenty of ice for an absolutely elegant end to a meal. When used in blending, it lends a distinctive touch to classic aperitif cocktails such as Americano or Boulevardier, adding more intense and sharp bitter notes.
